ACFE has updated the conviction question (starting at application point, step 3) on their issuance and maintenance of the credential:
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or a morally reprehensible offense that you have not yet reported to the ACFE?

(“Moral depravity” means a crime that calls into question the integrity or judgment of the offender, such as fraud, bribery, corruption, theft, embezzlement, publicity, etc.)
Your application information will be sent to the ACFE, which will store your personal information in the United States to provide membership services and to carry out transactions you have requested. For a full explanation of your rights regarding ACFE's storage and use of your data, please visit:

Substitute participants and transfer Participants may be exchanged without additional charges up to 30 days prior to the start of the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) training course, provided written notice is given and the participant meets the eligibility requirements. Participants requesting rescheduling to a later training date may do so without additional charge provided written request is received at least 30 days prior to the start of the CFE training course. Cancellation by the participant Cancellations will be accepted up to 5 weeks prior to the original start date of the CFE training course Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) accepted. We charge 10% of the training fee for administration costs. If you cancel within 5 weeks before the start of the CFE training, you must pay the full training fee. All cancellations must be in writing.PaymentPayment of the training fee must be made within 30 days of the invoice date, but always prior to the start of the training.By accepting the Terms and Conditions-Have you ever been convicted of a felony or an offense of moral depravity that you committed to the ACFE have not reported? Falsifying any information in this application is grounds for denial or withdrawal of ACFE membership. You agree to comply with the Bylaws and Code of Professional Ethics of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Membership is a privilege and not a right. Qualifications are determined by the Board of Regents, whose decisions are final. You consent to having your personal information stored at ACFE offices in the United States, regional offices and chapters. After enrollment, your application information will be sent to the ACFE, which will store your personal information in the United States, to provide the Member Services you have requested and to carry out transactions.
